Yvonne Shelling (b. Walworth, London, UK) lives and works in London.

Shelling is a qualified medical doctor who made a career shift from medicine to art.

He works across media, encompassing film (both narrative and experimental), photography, graphic art, music, and poetry. Shelling is engaged with the investigation of identity and perception, in society and in art.  His works and process is a deep dive into individual and shared psychology. He is fascinated by identity - both conceptually and concretely - and what it means for people who are marginalised in society..

In 2019, Yvonne was invited by the European Council to represent the UK on the jury of Venice Film Festival’s Giornate degli Autori. In the same year, Shelling was commissioned by the V&A to create a film for the August V&A Late.

In 2020, Yvonne was commissioned alongside Amber Goneni by the National Maritime Museum to facilitate workshops and create a community art project as part of Fun Palaces a nationwide initiative that encourages local creativity.

A musician and DJ, Shelling holds the undisputed title of number one DJ in South London.
